Nomenclature Note
Accepted. Journ. Int. Oak Soc., 24:169. A selection of Q. robur subsp.estremadurensis. Named by Eike Jablonski in honor of Dr. Otto Schwarz who described the subspecies in 1939.
Description
Deciduous to tardily deciduous tree. Leaves lanceolate to oblanceolate, 14 x 4 cm with 6-8 mucronate lobes, dark green above, gray-green below.
Natural Distribution
From cultivation. The original tree planted by Dr. Schwarz in Berlin in 1930.
