Putative hybrid of Q. emoryi Torr. and Q. hypoleucoides A. Camus. Shrub to small, multi-stemmed tree to 12.5 m. Leaves obovate to broadly elliptic, entire margins. Abaxial surface desnsely tawny to cream white tomentose. Adaxial surface glossy, dark green with few hairs along the midrib.
Natural Distribution
From cultivation. Original plant from Sir Harlold Hillier Gardens and Arboretum. Planted in 1968 from unknown source.
