Etymology
Trelease named this taxon for Edward Palmer (1831-1911) who had collected the type specimen in 1896. "Eduardus" is a well-established latinization form of "Edward" and thus carries a termination of a single "i" in accordance with ICBN Art. 60.11 & Rec. 60C.2.
